Little Trip to Lynchburg

I've wanted to visit the Jack Daniel's Distillery with Will for a long time. We've been to a brewery or two in our travels, but we have never made it to Lynchburg for a tour of a major distillery! It's practically in our backyard! (Well, it's like an hour and a half away, but kind of.)

I made him a cute Valentine inviting him to visit the distillery with me before we have our little baby (due date being 4 weeks away) and we just went on Friday, March 1st. It was FREEZING out, with a little snow here and there. Which kind of made it all the more fun!

Sarah Beth and Nathan came over, and we headed to Frothy Monkey in Franklin for breakfast (monkry bread muffins...YUM) and then got on the road. Here's a few pics from our day...

Poor Jack Daniel was only 5 feet and 2 inches tall. Sad. I'm only 5 feet tall, so we probably would have been friends...

It's this cool cave that you can walk right up to.

Somebody gave this Jack statue some height, because he's definitely taller than 5'2" here.

If you have never taken this tour, even if you don't like whiskey, you should totally go. It was really interesting. Our tour guide was a good ole country boy who loves his town and loves his whiskey. A passionate tour guide makes the experience. We had a great time!

Pre-baby checklist is getting smaller. Eeek! I think the only things left on my list now are washing the floors in my house, framing one baby photo of Will for the nursery, and washing one load of baby laundry.
